Robert Archambeau

Robert Archambeau began his teaching career nearly 40 years ago at Rhode Island School for Design. In 1968 he began teaching at the University of Manitoba where he taught for 23 years where he retired in 1991. He has been a visiting artist and lecturer all across North America and internationally. In 2003 Archambeau received the Governor General’s Award in Visual Art and Media Arts in Canada; awarded annually to six artists for distinguished career achievement in the visual and media arts. He is internationally recognized for his work in wood fired ceramics and his dedication to teaching.
