"Drawing Lawrence" an exhibition of drawings by Michael Krueger on the occasion of Lawrence’s sesquicentennial.

Exhibition: October 18 – November 30

Reception: October 22, 7 – 9 p.m.

In 2002, artist Michael Krueger and Lawrence Arts Center Gallery Director Rick Mitchell began talking about producing an exhibition of Michael’s drawings that would be displayed in the Arts Center during 2004, the 150th anniversary year of the founding of Lawrence. Mitchell was looking for an exhibition that would focus attention on Lawrence history and Krueger had already begun to do drawings and prints on subjects in American history in his own distinctive style. Michael agreed to do an exhibition on Lawrence themes—the results will be shown in the gallery of the Lawrence Arts Center from October 18 through November 30.
