Enrollment is open to members only from Monday, November 30 through Thursday, December 3. Open enrollment begins Friday, December 4.
Preschool enrollment for Fall 2010 begins February 13
The Arts-Based Preschool is for children ages 3-5 and provides social, motor and creative experiences that excite a love for learning. Music, sculpture, painting, drawing and creative movement are an integral part of this exciting program. The self-esteem of your child will grow through rich and varied experiences with the arts in combination with sound preschool education. The LAC Preschool’s curriculum allows students the opportunity to work with professional artists, actors, dancers and musicians in addition to the full-time staff; attend performances; and create in the ceramics studio. Lots of fun, lots of love and lots of good arts experiences nurture creative thinking, decision-making, imagination and art appreciation. Child must be potty trained and age 3 before September 1, 2010, unless enrolling in Thursday morning class.

NOTE: Membership discounts cannot be processed through the online enrollment system at this time. To receive your 10% discount, please enroll in person or by calling 785/843-2787.

The Lawrence Arts Center is proud to offer a variety of classes in the areas of drama, dance, and visual arts for students ages 2-102. As a service to our customers, we offer online enrollment as an option for those wishing to take advantage of our classes. Read on for more information...
How can I enroll online?
Easy! Just log on to our website (www.lawrenceartscenter.org), click "Class Listings," and choose your interest area. When you find the class you want, click "Enroll Now" and follow the directions.
Are all classes open for online enrollment?
No. Some private lessons, pay-per-use classes, and performance opportunities require instructor meetings, auditions, and the like before enrollment can be granted. Therefore, these classes are not available for online enrollment.
Can I use my member/senior citizens discount when I enroll online?
Not at this time. Because our online enrollment setup has no way of verifying eligibility for discounts, we cannot reduce or modify fees when students enroll online. We are continually evaluating our practices, however, and will let you know when this option becomes available. Until then, we will be happy to process member and senior enrollments via phone, fax and walk-in registrations.
Can I set up a payment plan when I enroll online?
Currently, online enrollment accepts only full payments. If you are in the Dance program and would like to make monthly payments, please enroll via phone, fax or walk-in. Students in other programs or those seeking financial aid may also be able to set up payment arrangements, if registering with one of the above methods.

Classes For Preschoolers
Integrated Arts for Preschoolers Ann Johnson
Enjoy the arts and learn — a real variety of creative experiences. Integrated Arts is ideal for your child’s first class away from home, or as a supplement to traditional preschool programs. Play clothes a must! Child must be fully toilet trained. Ages 3-5.
API-1: Fri, Jan 15-Mar 5 (8wks), 1-3pm, Fee: $130
API-2: Fri, Mar 26-May 14 (8wks), 1-3pm, Fee: $130

Coloring Outside the Lines Linda Reimond
This child/adult class allows you and your 2- or 3-year-old to explore the arts together. We will paint and play, and sing and play, and print and play in this hands-on atmosphere. Plan to get messy, so play clothes are a must!

Saturday Coloring Outside the Lines Linda Reimond
Join us for some good ol’ messy fun! This child/adult class is an excellent opportunity to explore the arts with your child. We’ll explore a variety of creative activities for children ages 2-3. Play clothes a must!

Tuesday Art Club Jan McElwain
(for students currently enrolled in Kindergarten through age 7) Let your imagination grow and your creativity shine! Explore the arts (visual, music, dance, drama) and enhance the “specials” (art, music, p.e.) taught in the schools. Play clothes a must!
The Artist’s Studio—A variety of weekly art activities to explore how color, line, shape and texture create art. APK-1: Tue, Jan 12-Feb 2 (4wks), 4-5pm, Fee: $55 Canceled
Art is a Circus—Study famous art works and create art with a circus theme —animals and acrobats, clowns and critters.
