The auction attracted over 700 people last year. Hundreds of others saw the Preview Exhibition and registered Silent Auction bids during the weeks preceding the event. This year we anticipate similar interest. Last year the auction generated more than $130,000, which was used to support gallery exhibitions by area and national artists at the Lawrence Arts Center.

Lawrence’s first benefit art auction, the Lawrence Art Auction was established in 1981 to encourage artists and art lovers to support exhibitions at the Lawrence Arts Center.
