March 16, 6 - 8 p.m. : Artist donor appreciation party. (Donating artists and friends only) Bring your donation, enjoy refreshments and see what other artists have contributed.


March 23 : Preview Exhibition opens to the public and runs through April 18, in the galleries of the Lawrence Arts Center. Live Auction bids may be recorded until noon on April 18. Silent Auction bids may be made up until 7:15 p.m. April 18.


April 3, 5:30 - 7 p.m. : Imagination Society Reception. (Imagination Society members and invited guests only) Speaker, featured artist


April 3, 7 - 9 p.m. : Members Preview Party -open to the public. Remarks by members of the Lawrence Art Auction Committee and donating artists at 7:30p.m.

Your tickets will be available for pick-up at the Lawrence Arts Center reception desk prior to and day of the event.

Tickets for the auction will be available starting March 23, at the Lawrence Arts Center for $25 (advance price) or at the door on auction night for $30. Buy your tickets early and avoid the crowd at the door on auction night! Auction night party begins at 6:00p.m. Hy-vee Food Stores will provide refreshments. This is the time to get your final Silent Auction bids in and decide on your favorite Live Auction items.

Over 150 items will be available in the Silent Auction. Successful bids will be posted during the Live Auction. Silent Auction bids must be recorded by 7:15p.m. April 18.

The Live Auction will feature approximately 80 works of original art. Live Auction starts at 7:30p.m. sharp and moves quickly.

The Lawrence Art Auction attracts 600-700 people each year. Hundreds of others see the Preview Exhibition and register early Silent and Live Auction bids during the weeks preceding the event. Proceeds are used to support gallery exhibitions by area, national and international artists at the Lawrence Arts Center.

Lawrence's first benefit art auction, the Lawrence Art Auction was established in 1981 by area artists to encourage the community to support their exhibitions at the Lawrence Arts Center.
