Rachael Sudlow was born and raised in Lawrence Kansas. She has been heavily influenced by her painter grandfather, Robert Sudlow, gaining inspiration from the land and animals that inhabit the prairie. Her work in photography has delved into this interest, even when studying in the East Coast. After graduating in 2005 from the Rhode Island School of Design in photography, she has taken on the challenge of non-profit environmental education as well as continuing to pursue the exploration of photography.
