Artist Statement
My work is evolving. I am still fascinated by the endless possibilities of using traditional paper folding art form in the contemporary context. However, I am not bound by it. The folding is no longer with just paper, other material is being used I am planning to continue to explore color and forms especially three dimensional forms and going towards more in the direction of mixed media. The purpose of my artwork in the near future is to present and search for expansion of the beauty as I see it in this traditional art of paper folding. My inspiration comes from seeing, hearing and feeling the beauty in the spirit and energy of things around me as well as looking into my self. It is always exciting to create something precious out of very common, everyday material.
